Absolutely!”</I> I loved that… <BR/><BR/>How ironic that the outfit subcontracted by the Pentagon to place these “good news stories” was called The Lincoln Group. Some people have no shame whatsoever. <BR/><BR/>My question is, why is anyone surprised in the least by this? Good grief, what short memories people have. Does no one recall the “Office of Strategic Influence” that was proposed by the Pentagon back in 2002? Evidently not it would seem from the media reports on this story over the last week. That however was the first thing that came to my mind. This was the well-funded group formed after 9/11 to provide “news” items, and disinformation, to foreign media organizations as part of a new effort to influence public sentiment and policy makers in both friendly and unfriendly countries.<BR/><BR/>When word leaked out about it, the idea got quickly brushed under the carpet.
